Grooming Services

At Spokane Cat Clinic, we’re here to assist with grooming needs that can’t be handled at home or by a regular groomer. While we’re not cosmetic groomers, we do our best to ensure your pet looks tidy and well-groomed, always with a focus on their comfort and well-being. For kitties with a bit more attitude, we offer options such as “happy drugs” or injectable sedation to make the experience as stress-free as possible. Routine services like nail trimming, sanitary clips, and Soft Paws applications are quick, in-and-out appointments, while grooming requiring sedation involves your cat staying with us for the day.

To ensure the safety and well-being of both our staff and your pets, we kindly require that all patients have an up-to-date wellness exam with us. Additionally, a current rabies vaccination is required, though it does not need to be administered through our clinic. This helps us provide the best care possible while maintaining a safe environment for everyone. Please also note that pre-anesthetic blood work is required for patients aged 6 years and older prior to any sedated procedure. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Do Cats Need Baths?

Cats generally do not require baths, as they are excellent self-groomers. In most cases, your cat will do a thorough job of maintaining its cleanliness without the need for additional bathing. We typically recommend bathing only when medically necessary, such as when a cat has come into contact with harmful substances like glitter or other toxins, when they are unable to clean themselves due to sticky substances or odors like skunk spray, or if they have health conditions that prevent them from reaching all areas during self-grooming. If you believe a bath may be medically necessary for your cat, please feel free to contact us, and we would be happy to discuss your concerns further.
